College Access Partners/Vendors

ACT, Inc.
ACT provides a broad array of assessment, research, information and program management solutions in education. ACT will administer the EXPLORE, PLAN and ACT exams and provide student achievement data.

Aurora Learning Community Association
ALCA provides data analysis tools for state student assessments and online professional development opportunities for teachers, moving GEAR UP school districts forward as professional learning communities.

Check & Connect
Check & Connect is an intervention used with K-12 students who show warning signs of disengagement with school and who are at risk of dropping out.

College and Career Readiness Consortium
Oklahoma GEAR UP collaborates with other state grantees to participate in a national evaluation study for GEAR UP interventions and provide opportunities for best practices conferences and networking. 

College Board Advanced Placement
Through Advanced Placement® college-level courses and exams, high-school students can earn college credit and learn from some of the most skilled, dedicated and inspiring teachers in the world. GEAR UP and College Board will work together to provide AP support for teachers, students and parents.

Inside Track
Inside Track is a student coaching program that has been designed to improve enrollment,persistence, completion and career readiness. They train OK GEAR UP college coaches to look at the whole student, including finances, community, health, career goals, and commitments, to form a fuller picture of every individual served.

Oklahoma’s Regional Universities
GEAR UP works with selected regional universities to provide college coaches who assist school districts with on-campus activities and serve as a student resource to college freshman.

Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education
GEAR UP will encourage use of the Oklahoma Career Information System (OKCIS) and encourage expansion of the Cooperative Alliance program where students participating in certain CareerTech programs can earn college credit while in high school.

Oklahoma State Department of Education (SDE)
GEAR UP will work with the SDE to access the longitudinal student data system. GEAR UP will also work with the SDE School Improvement Teams to better serve persistently low-performing schools.

Quantum Learning
Quantum Learning collaborates with GEAR UP School districts to accelerate their current initiatives and create a high-performance culture of student success. When teachers and students are engaged and excited to be in the classroom, higher-order thinking and retention come naturally.

Solution Tree
GEAR UP works with Solution Tree to transform education worldwide by empowering educators to raise student achievement. Solution Tree works with GEAR UP School Districts to create and sustain a professional learning community where key practices and strategies are embedded in the culture of your district. With help from Solution Tree experts, schools creates a comprehensive learning infrastructure to address priorities and build collective capacity for continuous improvement.

Southern Regional Education Board (SREB)
SREB works with 16 member states to improve public pre-K-12 and higher education. SREB is the only regional education compact that works directly with state leaders, schools and educators to improve teaching, learning and student achievement at every level of education. GEAR UP will offer SREB training that includes, “Creating a High Performance Learning Culture,” and online counselor training, “College Access for All Students: Strategies for School Counselors in Career and Academic Counseling.”
