Cover In-State Tuition with Oklahoma’s Promise

Oklahoma’s Promise can cover the full cost of in-state tuition for eligible Oklahoma students, and now even more families qualify! Oklahoma’s Promise provides:

  • Full tuition at an Oklahoma public two-year college.
  • Full tuition at an Oklahoma public four-year university.
  • Partial tuition at an Oklahoma accredited private college or university.

    • NEW EXPANDED DEADLINE: Dec. 31 of your senior year.
    • 8th–11th graders are encouraged to apply by June 30.

Requirements at a Glance

Student Requirements

Be an Oklahoma resident attending an Oklahoma high school

Have a 2.50 or higher GPA

Be enrolled in 8th–12th grade and at least 13 years of age

Household income not exceeding: $60,000 with 1 or 2 children, $70,000 with 3 or 4 children or $80,000 with 5+ children

Application Requirements

Submitted any time from the start of the 8th grade through Dec. 31 of your senior year.

Witnessed by a parent or guardian who agrees to help you follow Oklahoma's Promise requirements.

FAFSA must be completed prior to applying.

Don't Forget

New extended deadline (beginning the 2025–26 school year): Dec. 31, 2025

Students completing 7th grade must wait until August to apply.

Parents should be prepared to submit income documentation.
